COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Shandon Scott Singer, 34, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on a charge of Enticing a Child Through the Internet, according to Prosecuting Attorney Stanley T. Mortensen in a release.

The charge followed an incident on April 4, 2025, where Singer contacted an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl on a dating app. He expressed a desire to meet for sex and was arrested upon arrival at a motel.

Senior District Judge Regina McCrea handed down the sentence on September 22, 2025. Singer will be eligible for parole after four years.

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force played key roles in the investigation, Mortensen said.
