An untimely eight-game skid knocked the Texas Rangers out of the playoff race.

Bochy and president of baseball operations Chris Young will discuss the Texas future after the season and see if the two still share the same vision.

Bochy's three-year contract with the team is set to expire. He guided the Rangers to their lone World Series title in 2023 but has missed the postseason the past two seasons. Texas was formally eliminated on Tuesday.
