A new team in first place, breakout performances, and a record-setting day highlighted Week 2 of Newsday’s high school fantasy football league.
Team Sicoli (463 points) moved into first place after scoring 255 points last week. Team Slawson sits in second, while Team Matias climbed to third.
“It’s been a blast. All these players are so competitive on the field,” Sicoli said. “It’s been great in the office and a lot of fun to see them out there.”
Sicoli’s surge was fueled by Oceanside quarterback Shane Harmon, who turned in a memorable performance with 67 fantasy points. Harmon threw for 349 yards and six touchdowns in a shootout against Farmingdale.
