MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WSAZ) - After a wet week locally, the weather heading into the weekend will be better, but not up to the lofty late September standards we are used to. But even the mention of drier air will have us doing cartwheels!
Still, the change in weather for the first weekend of fall will take a back seat to the climate at Myrtle Beach! You see after a dreadfully wet summer (2 feet of rain, 25.,5″ to be exact) along the famous Grand Strand, the weather in September had settled into a tropical paradise with warm, sunny days and little rain.
But that is likely to change by early next week if a Tropical Storm or hurricane threat unfolds.
