NORFOLK, Va. — Most of the East Ocean View part of Norfolk is without power Thursday night, according to Dominion Energy.

Dominion Energy said the outage began at 7:10 p.m. when equipment failed at Mona Avenue and Jolima Avenue, causing power lines to fall. At the outage's peak, about 4,500 customers were without power, according to Dominion.

Dominion Energy said they have restored about 1,000 customers' power since the outage began, and that the remaining customers should likely have their power restored between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

As of 10 p.m., Dominion said 3,500 people are still without power.
