SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners (90-69) have secured a spot in the American League Division Series, and tickets for all home games sold out within minutes.

Seattle clinched at least the No. 2 seed in the AL standings after the Detroit Tigers (86-73) beat the Cleveland Guardians (86-73). The top two seeds skip the wild-card round and advance directly to the Division Series.

The first postseason game in Seattle since 2022 will be played Saturday, Oct. 4, at T-Mobile Park.

“The way Seattle has embraced this team is truly incredible,” Mariners Senior Vice President of Sales Frances Traisman said. “We have the best fans in baseball, and I can’t wait to see how far this team can go with a packed house behind them all postseason.”
