Kann, the wood-fired Haitian restaurant from Portland chef Gregory Gourdet, will be named to the inaugural World’s 50 Best North America list at a ceremony Thursday evening in Las Vegas.
Though its spot in the rankings has yet to be revealed, Gourdet was seen Thursday at the Wynn Las Vegas sporting the signature red scarf given to chefs and restaurant owners who make the list. Kann appears to be the only Oregon restaurant set to be honored at this year’s event.
It’s just the latest accolade for Kann, 548 S.E. Ash St., which has cleaned up just about every restaurant award imaginable, from the No. 1 spot on Esquire magazine’s best new restaurants list shortly after it opened to our Restaurant of the Year honor in 2022 to the James Beard Award for America’s best new restaurant th
