FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE) - September is Suicide Prevention Month, something that affects many people all across the Central Valley. Among them is Kelsie Igasan, who attempted suicide on April 21, 2017. That date marked the end of her addiction and the beginning of a new chapter as a mother.

"The number one lie I believed...my kids would be better off without a mom like me," Kelsie Igasan shared.

Kelsie's struggles with mental health began in middle school, leading her to alcohol, marijuana, and crack cocaine in high school. Her life cycled through treatment centers, counseling, and juvenile hall.
