BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Violence across the country is no longer localized to the communities in which it happens. Social media is full of online violence easily accessible to kids and teens. Two groups of four teens spoke to Louisiana First Investigates about the impact.
All eight teens said they viewed the Charlie Kirk assassination on various social media platforms. The graphic clip was the latest example of a murder going viral, and the kids said they had seen videos like this for years.
"I've seen a chick get her head cut off, man," said Caleb Lim, a senior at Liberty Magnet. "Real or not, it still makes an impact."
