PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KLRT) - The UAPB Golden Lions are heading to Memphis this weekend to face off with Alcorn State in the Southern Heritage Classic.

UAPB is 0-2 when it comes to Southern Heritage Classic matchups as they have lost to Tennessee State the past two years.

Our Courtney Mims sat down with UAPB head football coach Alonzo Hampton to talk about the big conference matchup, the state of the program and why it means so much for him to be the head coach of the Golden Lions for another season.

Kickoff between Alcorn State and UAPB is 6 p.m. on Saturday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis.
