Oklahoma star quarterback John Mateer is back in Norman after undergoing what he calls a successful procedure in Los Angeles, CA, on his injured throwing hand.
Mateer declined to speak with the local media on Thursday, but head coach Brent Venables is confident the Sooners can "hold it down" until Mateer is able to return to the lineup.
Venables: This Team Is Built To Overcome Adversity
Venables did not give an updated timeline on when Mateer might be cleared to play. However, the head man knows his team will handle the adversity in the right way.
