DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A once-vacant Duluth building is reopening to help support mothers facing homelessness.

Operating out of the old YWCA building, Divine Konnections Hope and Healing Center is dedicated to providing a safe and stable environment for young BIPOC mothers between the ages of 18-24 who have found themselves without a stable home.

Live music and food helped celebrate the first day of the program’s operations in the Spirit Valley neighborhood.

YWCA’s Executive Director, Morgan Beryl, says donating the building to Divine Konnections carries on the original program’s mission.
