Thursday was wet and dreary across Massachusetts as widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms battered the state — but drier days are coming, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain is expected to cease first in the Berkshires around 10 p.m., though a quarter to half an inch of additional rain is predicted to fall before that time, according to the weather service. The rest of the state can expect more showers and possibly more thunderstorms through at least 2 a.m., but the precipitation is predicted to cease before sunup.
A quarter to a half an inch of additional rain is also expected to fall in the rest of Massachusetts before the showers stop coming down, according to the weather service. Patchy fog is predicted to follow amid overnight lows in the mid 60s.
