MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Families of murder victims in Shelby County are pleading for answers. Some have waited months and others years for justice.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s office has asked for more resources, like a crime lab, to increase its solve rate. The DA’s office said an increased solve rate will, in turn, increase arrests.

But a crime lab takes time, and there are dozens of families right now wanting answers to their loved ones’ cases.

“I’m feeling that the truth is not being told today. No one has been interviewed in this case,” said Tonya Kerr, the mom of Keierra McNeil. She spoke out at Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy’s press conference on Thursday.
