The Delhi Police are probing tampering of evidence and negligence after a 35-year-old worker died after falling from scaffolding while carrying out maintenance work at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on September 5.

Meanwhile, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) stated that the worker, who was employed by a third-party contractor, had violated safety protocols and that the contractor had provided financial assistance to his family. Sources said DIAL has denied charges of evidence tampering or negligence.
