BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk has sparked vigils nationwide. Thursday evening, WKU’s Turning Point USA held their own vigil in his memory.

Pastors from local churches and students spoke on Kirk and his legacy.

Freshman, Abbey Jogill is the president of WKU Turning point USA and helped planned the vigil.

“It’s hard to come out of your comfort zone and to stand up for you and believe in. But Charlie did that. He did that without even thinking twice,” said freshman and president of WKU Turning Point USA. ”And to be able to honor such a great legacy is honestly an honor for us.
