One of Northside’s busiest commercial corridors has welcomed a new restaurant.

Morty’s Market & Deli opened last week at 305 W. Brookland Park Blvd.

Led by Bingo Beer Co.’s Jay Bayer and Adam Stull, Morty’s is a sandwich shop offering European-inspired dishes served on house-made focaccia bread. Its food menu also includes some salads and small plates, such as cacio e pepe broccoli rabe, chicken paprikash and braised fennel.

Stull said two of the shop’s most popular sandwiches thus far have been the Chicky Gabagool, made with fried chicken cutlets and capicola, and the Mostly Italian, which has capicola, speck, provolone, pesto aioli and mortadella, the Italian cold cut for which the restaurant is named.
