HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - After a stormy past couple of days, rain chances ease for Eastern Kentucky.

DISCUSSION:

As we start the last day of the work week, Friday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies. While there is no rain expected in the morning, scattered showers will develop in the afternoon. Rainfall accumulation will be minimal throughout the day, with high temperatures expected to reach the mid-to-upper 70s. A round of rain is anticipated late in the evening for our Virginia counties.

The rain that begins Friday night will continue into Saturday morning. For the first half of the weekend, rain chances will be limited to our far eastern counties, persisting throughout the day. Saturday’s temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s.
