THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy showers have thrown life out of gear in various places of the state, with several places inundated under knee-deep water and traffic paralyzed. The rains are heavy in southern and central Kerala. Due to continuous rains for the last two days, waterlogging has occurred in many places in Thiruvananthapuram. There is large waterlogging in about 14 places in the capital city, including Thampanoor, Sreekandeswaram, Chala, Kamaleswaram, Chakkai, KIMS Hospital area and Thiruvallam Parasurama Temple area. The intensity of the rain has decreased a bit in the last one hour. The situation is similar in the hilly areas.
