SHREVEPORT, La. - The 49th annual Red River Revel is kicking off its new format with its first weekend in downtown Shreveport.

The Revel is taking place over two weekends, starting Thursday through this Sunday. It resumes Oct. 2 through Oct. 5.

Organizers promise a vibrant celebration of art, music and food in downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza.

The Red River Revel charges admission beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here .
