PERU, Neb. (KOLN) - Dr. Robert Mock has been named the 35th president of Peru State College following a national search.

The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees voted Sept. 19 to authorize the chancellor to negotiate a contract with Mock, who will take office Jan. 1, 2026. He will succeed Michael Evans, who retired in November 2024.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to be selected as the next president of Peru State College,” Mock said. “Peru State College has a long history of academic excellence, innovation and service, and I am inspired by its traditions, energized by its aspirations and eager to work alongside this extraordinary community to build on its many strengths.”

Mock has served the University of Maryland Eastern Shore since 2018 in roles including vice president
