East Prairie native getting football jersey retired by Murray State

MURRAY, KY. (KFVS) -Murray State Athletics will retire football jersey #26, once worn by Hall of Famer Danny Lee Johnson.

The East Prairie native is the Racers’ second all-time leading rusher with 2,522 yards.

Murray State will retire Johnson’s jersey when the Racers host Southern Illinois on Homecoming on Saturday, November 1, at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray. Kick off is set for 4 p.m.
