New Jersey residents are waking up to a mild start this Friday, with temperatures around 69 degrees for those heading out the door early at 4:30 a.m.

While conditions may not feel the best just yet, the day is expected to shape up into a pleasant one as we move into the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, dense fog is developing across parts of Morris and Sussex counties, with visibility in some areas reduced to about a mile.

Forecasters say the fog should burn off by mid-morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies.

Highs are expected to reach near 81 degrees with light winds shifting northwest around 6 mph.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with overnight lows dipping to around 63 degrees.

Make it a great day, New Jersey.
