Previously, the Jamaica Tallawahs—a three-time CPL champion—were under the ownership of Florida-based businessman Kris Persaud. However, due to sustainability challenges, Persaud sold the franchise back to the league and shifted focus to establishing the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
