An Australian man has been arrested in Singapore after allegedly stealing from eight shops at the airport during transit.
The 45-year-old was arrested on September 2 after a pair of sunglasses was reported missing from a shop in the transit area of Changi Airport Terminal 2, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a statement on Thursday.
Police launched an investigation about 7.40pm on the day of the alleged theft, and identified the suspect after reviewing CCTV footage.
It is alleged the man took the sunglasses from a display shelf without paying.
Police further allege the man had entered eight different shops and stolen various items without making payment.
