Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan reportedly name-dropped Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in his International Cricket Council (ICC) hearing over the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s complaint that he made ‘provocative gestures’ in the Asia Cup 2025 super-four clash between the teams.

Farhan hit a fifty in that game, which his team lost by six wickets. To celebrate the milestone, he pretended to fire a gun at his teammates in the dressing room. It was criticised as distasteful in India, with many feeling that he was referring to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir in April, which was aided by Pakistan, after Suryakumar Yadav dedicated India’s last win over the Men in Green to the victims.
