'Dinner Under the Stars' raises funds for Idyllwild community

Idyllwild Rotary Club and AstroCamp hosted their inaugural fundraiser, "Dinner Under the Stars," a four-course Italian meal that was served outdoors beneath AstroCamp's vast, dark skies in Idyllwild on Sept. 13. The sold-out event benefited the Idyllwild Rotary Charitable Fund, which supports local nonprofits, and AstroCamp's Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, which provides need-based camp tuition for deserving kids.

Cocktails and dinner were preceded by optional axe-throwing adventures and access to AstroCamp's 700-foot zipline across Saunders Meadow.
