Driver update after Bristol school bus crash View Image
The driver of a coach that crashed off a main road and ended up in a ditch while carrying 29 schoolchildren from Bristol has been bailed until December 24.
He was arrested yesterday, Thursday, September 25, on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
The incident involving the coach, which was travelling from the Bristol area, happened close to the junction of the A36 and the M27 near Ower, Hampshire, at 5.10am yesterday.
The 29 children onboard the bus were unhurt.
However, one of the four teachers suffered a minor leg injury and the driver was taken to Southampton General Hospital, also for minor injuries.
