Syracuse, N.Y. ― The guest list for the Syracuse basketball coaching staff has gone from two recruits down to just one, but this remains an important recruiting weekend for the Orange.
Syracuse coach Adrian Autry and his staff will host Deron Rippey Jr., one of the top point guards in the 2026 recruiting class, for an official visit this weekend.
Rippey Jr., a 6-foot-2 point guard, is a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., who attends Blair (N.J.) Academy. He is currently ranked No. 13 in the ‘26 class by On3 and No. 18 by ESPN.
The Syracuse coaching staff conducted an in-home visit with Rippey just this past Wednesday. The SU contingent included Autry, assistant coaches Brenden Straughn and Allen Griffin and general manager Alex Kline.
