The Shillong Traffic Police has announced specific traffic regulations to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety during the Durga Puja celebrations in Shillong city from September 28 to October 2, 2025.

Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be restricted from entering Shillong city from September 29 to October 2, 2025, between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM daily, depending on traffic situations.

On route diversion, certain roads leading to major Puja pandals will be declared No Entry Zones for private vehicles, with alternative routes provided.

Visitors are advised to park their vehicles at designated parking places. Roadside parking is strictly prohibited, and violators will be penalized.
