CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Earthquakes across the globe will be the topic of discussion at an upcoming event at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
This fall’s Michael and Nancy Glassman Lecture, titled “Who’s Shaking and Why: Understanding recent earthquakes across the globe,” will take place at Morris Library from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1.
James A. Conder, an SIU geology professor, will lead the discussion focusing on where earthquakes are occurring and why certain regions are more seismically active than others.
