CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky college student was reported missing after he went fishing in a reservoir along the Texas-Louisiana border.

There was a body found matching his description, according to Sabine Co. Sheriff's Office in Hemphill, Tex.

The body is on its way to the medical examiner's office in Beaumont where it will be officially identified.

Peyton Hughes, 21, enrolled at Campbellsville University, has been missing since Wednesday, Sept. 24, according to a Texas Game Wardens social media post.

Texas officials say Hughes was pre-fishing on Toledo Bend Reservoir for a Bassmaster Kayak Series event when he was reported missing. The university said he did not return to the launch point after the tournament ended on Toledo Bend Lake in Hemp Hill, Texas. His kayak, however, was
