LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- Police found a person with "extensive injuries" on a Lancaster County roadway on Thursday.

According to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department, at 10:34 p.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Church Road in Clay Township for a report of a man lying in the roadway with extensive injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

Police launched an investigation into the incident after learning more information while at the hospital early Friday morning.
