MILAN, Pa. (WETM) — A Milan man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to federal charges regarding an investigation that found he was taking money from his dead mother's social services benefits for more than 15 years, according to information from the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Richard Burke, 76, of Milan, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Sept. 24, to federal wire fraud charges and could face up to 20 years in prison.
Burke's guilty plea stems from him being charged back in August on the same charge due to events that took place over roughly 17 years, the documents said.
