DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A man is dead after an early morning crash in east Dayton Friday.
According to the Dayton Police Department, the crash occurred after midnight on Smithville Road and Third Street.
An initial investigation determined that the driver of a Dodge Ram ran a red light while traveling on Smithville and crashed into a Toyota Camry that was traveling east on Third Street.
The collision sent the vehicles into the parking lot of a business at the corner of the intersection. A Dodge Caliber parked in the lot was bounced into the walk-in cooler/freezer of a nearby Dominos.
The driver of the Camry, later identified as James Moody, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.
