STANTON, Neb. (KTIV) - A fire destroyed a semi-trailer loaded with meat products on Friday morning.
At 6:50 a.m. on Sept. 26, the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was called to a semi-trailer that was engulfed in flames on Highway 15 just north of Highway 275. This would put the fire in the area of Pilger, Nebraska.
According to a release, the semi was fully loaded with meat products and was heading to Le Mars, Iowa, when it caught fire.
Traffic in the area was reduced to one lane for a short period of time while the Pilger and Wisner Fire Departments worked to extinguish the fire.
