TYLER, Texas (KETK) -- The Tyler Police Department is inviting neighborhoods across the city to celebrate National Night Out on Oct. 7 with community block parties.
The annual event is aimed at strengthening relationships between residents and law enforcement through food, fun and neighborhood gatherings.
Various block parties are planned throughout Tyler, with a large community celebration set for Hillside Park. While most events will kick off in the evening, some may start earlier in the day.
Friday is the last official day to submit registration forms. Tyler PD will continue to accept them next week, though late registrations may not be included on the officer visitation list.
