HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A man convicted on charges in relation to a murder that occurred in the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area.
Johnathon Buza, was convicted of killing Manuel Heaton. He was found guilty in a Warrick County courtroom back in July. Court documents show Buza was sentenced to 85 years in prison.
Buza was arrested in April of 2023 after authorities say they located several firearms in his home. Police say Buza went to Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area on April 21. Heaton was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds the next day. Police were later able to confirm that Buza stayed at a Nashville hotel on April 22, and his reservation was made in Heaton’s name.
