SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office reports a Union woman was arrested for exploitation of a vulnerable adult on Friday.

Officials said an investigation by the Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit determined that 73-year-old Carla H. Finley misused or without authorization accessed funds, assets, or a Power of Attorney belonging to a vulnerable adult for personal gain between Jun. 22, 2024, and Aug. 29, 2024.

She converted the victim’s funds and assets for her own use and obtained $54,817.85 through unauthorized transactions, officials said.

Officials report the victim was a resident at Wesley Court Assisted Living Community in Boiling Springs, S.C.
