DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A Krise Transportation school bus driver working with the Central Dauphin School District was fired for allegedly having a holstered weapon on school property earlier this week, officials said.

Superintendent Eric Truman said Friday the bus driver, who was not identified, had the weapon holstered on their belt, and it could be seen while they were picking up students at the end of a school day.

Another bus driver noticed the firearm and contacted Krise Transportation. Lower Paxton Township Police were also notified about the incident and the firearm was removed from the driver without incident, Truman said. The driver was then fired.
