DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A Duluth man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting at a woman and ramming two police squad cars.
Police responded to a report of a shooting around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near North 57th Avenue West and Grand Avenue.
According to officials, 36-year-old Demetrius Norwood went to the home after drinking with friends and became upset with a woman known to him at the residence.
As she arrived in her car, Norwood allegedly ran toward the vehicle, threatened her, and fired multiple shots. One bullet struck the car, but the woman was not injured.
While officers were speaking with witnesses at the scene, Norwood returned and crashed his vehicle into two parked squad cars—one of which had a K9 inside. No officers or the K9 were hurt.
