Commerce Township — A Detroit Lions star's iconic touchdown celebration is enshrined in corn, at least for this harvest season, and visitors are loving it, says the orchard's owner.
Long Family Orchard & Farm, on East Commerce Road in Commerce Township, has opened a five-acre corn maze in the shape of Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown's iconic headstand, which he did in the endzone during a game last season. The maze, open to the public Saturdays and Sundays, will be open through the first weekend in November.
Owner Bobby Long said he and his brother got the idea for the maze design while brainstorming during the farm's offseason.
“I was actually at the game last year when he did (the headstand), so that’s what we came up with," he said. "We were like, ‘Hey, this is awesome.’”
