(NEXSTAR) — Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group are bringing Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show back to their ABC affiliate stations on Friday night, ending a dayslong TV blackout for dozens of cities across the U.S. over remarks the comedian made in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killing.

"We have had discussions with executives at The Walt Disney Company and appreciate their constructive approach to addressing our concerns," Nexstar, the parent company of this news outlet, said in a statement.
