Disgraced former U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins, who resigned under a cloud of ethics violations, is facing “public discipline” from the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers.

Rollins, who resigned from her post as the state’s top prosecutor in May 2023 upon the issuance of two federal reports that found she abused her position, is listed as an active attorney with “disciplinary proceedings pending,” as of this past June 30, on the board’s website.

It’s unclear what alleged offense triggered the disciplinary proceedings, or what disciplinary action Rollins may be facing. The Herald’s requests for comment from the Board of Bar Overseers and Rollins were not returned on Friday.
