STILLWATER — Gage Gundy thought he was just stopping by the Oklahoma State football facility to watch practice in late July.

Instead, he was offered a headset.

He watched upstairs on the overlook deck as his dad — former longtime OSU coach Mike Gundy — traded hugs and handshakes with Stillwater High School head coach Chad Cawood, Gage’s old offensive coordinator. Coincidentally, Cawood had a new opening on his staff.
