Debra Mattson was 60 years old when she took her own life four years ago, but since then, her husband, mother and eight children have been keeping her memory alive.

"Debra Mattson, she was a mom to all eight of us kids, she was a wife to our dad, daughter to our grandma and just an amazing person in the community. She gave a lot of her time to others, especially us children," said Isaac Mattson, Debra’s son.

After her death, the Mattson siblings knew they wanted to do something to honor their mother's legacy, and that led them to create the Debra Mattson Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at raising mental health awareness and making sure people know they aren't alone.
