BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) — The transit needs of the Bellefonte area will be assessed according to the final draft of the Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization's (CCMPO) Long Range Transportation Plan.
The CCMPO requested public input on the plan at the end of June. Several municipalities commented on the state of transportation in Nittany Valley, including Bellefonte among them. Joanne Tosti-Vasey, a Bellefonte borough council member, says the new contract with the county's shared ride service is "working pretty well" after CATA ended service in the area, but she worries about the sustainability.
