WASHINGTON — Organizers of the largest Hispanic Heritage celebration in the District have decided to move forward with their events, as concerns about potential immigration enforcement have led others to cancel their celebrations.

Fiesta DC , which started as a festivity in the 70's in the northwest neighborhood of Mount Pleasant, plans to host a festival on Saturday and a parade on Sunday.

Pennsylvania Ave. NW between 3rd and 7th Streets NW

Parade Sunday, Sept. 28

Constitution Avenue NW between 7th and 14th Streets NW

The massive events held on Pennsylvania and Constitution avenues in downtown D.C. come just days after the expiration of the Trump administration's federal surge in the nation's capital.
