The Fort Worth Zoo is celebrating the birth of a 250-pound female Asian elephant calf — the first female born there since 2013. Delivered on Aug. 18 to mom Bluebonnet, the zoo’s first-ever elephant calf, the newborn is thriving and bonding well with her herd. Now, the zoo is asking the public to help choose a Texas-themed name for her.
