LOUISA CO., Iowa (KWQC) - Shooting threats made against Louisa County churches and schools that prompted a “soft” lockdown came from a person out of state with local ties, the sheriff says.

All Louisa County schools were on a “soft” lockdown after threats were made to schools and churches about 10:50 a.m. Friday.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office posted about 12:30 p.m. that the person who made the threats was out of state but had local ties.

The sheriff said they are working with other law enforcement agencies to investigate.
